Offshore brokers open to US traders in 2026 — offering MT5, TradeLocker, and high leverage. Here is how they work, what you gain, and what you give up.
Read this first. The brokers below are offshore and not registered with the CFTC or NFA. US residents can open accounts with them, but you trade outside US regulatory protection — no investor compensation scheme and lighter oversight. This is an educational comparison, not financial advice. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.

If you have tried to open an account with a big international broker as a US resident, you have probably been turned away. That is not an accident. To serve US retail forex traders legally, a broker must register with the CFTC and become a member of the NFA — which brings strict rules:
Those requirements are expensive and restrictive, so most international brokers simply choose not to onboard US clients. That is why the practical list of brokers accepting US traders is dominated by offshore firms.
Choosing an offshore broker is a genuine trade-off, not a free lunch. You gain higher leverage (1:500–1:2000), the ability to hedge, no FIFO rule, low minimums, and platforms like MT5 and TradeLocker. You give up CFTC/NFA oversight and any investor compensation scheme. Neither choice is universally “right” — it depends on what you value. If regulatory protection is your priority, a US-regulated broker is the safer route even with its restrictions. If you want flexibility and high leverage and accept the risk, offshore brokers like the ones above are the practical option.
RisenFX accepts US clients with MT5, up to 1:2000 leverage, and a $10 minimum.
Open RisenFX AccountOffshore-regulated, not CFTC/NFA registered. Trading CFDs carries risk; most retail accounts lose money.
Risk Warning: Trading foreign exchange (forex) and Contracts for Difference (CFDs) on margin carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to trade forex or CFDs, you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment, and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose.
74-89% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with leveraged products. You should be aware of all the risks associated with forex and CFD trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
