Full Definition
Break of Structure (BOS) occurs when price breaks beyond a significant swing high or low, indicating trend continuation. In an uptrend, BOS happens when price breaks above a previous swing high. In a downtrend, it occurs when price breaks below a swing low.
Example
In an uptrend, price makes a swing high at 1.1000, pulls back, then breaks above 1.1000 to reach 1.1050. This BOS confirms the uptrend continues.
