The second currency listed in a currency pair.
Full Definition
The quote currency (or counter currency) is the second currency in a currency pair. It shows how much of this currency is needed to buy one unit of the base currency. In EUR/USD, USD is the quote currency.
Example
In EUR/USD at 1.1050, USD is the quote currency. You need 1.1050 USD to buy 1 EUR.
