Scaling In
Gradually adding to a position as it moves in your favor.
Full Definition
Scaling in is a position management technique where you add to a winning position as it moves in your favor. This allows you to maximize profits when you're right while managing initial risk. Each additional entry should have its own stop loss and risk management.
Example
You enter 0.5 lots at 1.1000. Price moves to 1.1050 and shows strength. You add 0.3 lots, scaling into the winner while managing overall risk.
